James Pierson, a retired Police Chief, is currently commissioned as an investigator for the Rusk County Attorney’s Office in Texas. He served as the Chief of Police for the Henderson Police Department until his retirement in 2017. Throughout his 28-year career with the agency, Chief Pierson was deeply passionate about training. He held a variety of command roles before retiring and has been a long-time adjunct instructor at two academies in East Texas. He also served as a board member for the Texas Police Association and has contributed to several course development committees with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).

As a lead trainer for Blauer Tactical Systems until early 2024, Chief Pierson delivered courses across the United States, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, certifying instructors in law enforcement, military, and other first responder sectors, as well as civilians. His international training expertise includes courses on Use of Force, Courtroom Testimony, and officer safety, among others.

Chief Pierson has served as an expert witness in use of force, police leadership, and police procedures in both state and federal courts across multiple states. A two-time speaker at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference, he has authored numerous articles on training and continues to develop custom training programs for law enforcement agencies and groups.
Elisa Weber is a full partner and lead trainer at JP Law Enforcement & Safety Training. She owns and operates a licensed Executive Protection company in Austria. Since 2020, Elisa has been involved in Executive Protection and security, providing protection services in both overt and covert capacities for corporate and private clients across multiple countries in the European Union.

As a trainer, Elisa has delivered programs on behalf of her company and as a member of the Blauer Tactical Systems Mobile Training Team from 2022 to 2024. Her training programs, which range from end-user to instructor levels, have reached law enforcement, security personnel, care and service providers, social work staff, and civilians internationally.

In addition to her protective services work, Elisa continues to offer training across Europe, Great Britain, and the United States. She has also provided specialized training for victims of violence and abuse and has led self-defense programs for teenagers in schools.
